Everyone should see the size of my Celico Golffish. Junky is so fat. He looks like a pregent pup. My girlfriend has fell in love with him. What a personality. He has a big boddy, big mouth, and a big personality. Junky lives up to his name. By the way how does a person sex goldflish?

Male Goldfish get faint white bumps on their gill plates. Females usually stay plumper.

My Calcos are doing so well. I love them and they are getting so big. My son thinks that I am crazy to love a gold fish. They have such a personality and super big mouths. I remember when I got them I had to grind their food so they could eat it. Now they have no problem. My som suggest that I put guppies in the tank with them for a added effect. In my openion they are almost getting to big for their 10 gal tank and do not need company. Why do people not think goldfish are worth keeping in a indoor aquarium. They are so beautiful and do have a personlity. I think goldfish and Betta fish have been give a reputation of being disposal fish.

Gold Fish are indeed enjoyable to keep in an aquarium, but have different needs than tropical fish. They are rather messy and get quite big in time so the water quality and tank size are primary concerns. It is not wise to mix tropical fish with gold fish because the gold fish do not thrive in the warmer water that the tropicals need. The bigger the tank the better especially if you keep more than one.
