i think my lombardi is about to spawn. If anyone has a lombardi that has spawned and is able to shed some light on whether they are an egg layer or mouth brooder and how many to expect i would be really greatful. Also i noticed tonight that after a little bit of trying my Jewels have finally layed their eggs! yay. more fish to sell.

Is your lombardi blue with black bars. It is a mouth breeder more than likely. Many african cichlids are. Look them up on the net for detailed info. You have Jewel Cichlids also?
I have heaps of cichlids. Blue dolphins, hongi's, my lombardi pair, my pair of jewels, my pair of electric yellows, a trophy, venustus, Braziliansus, a sailfin pleco and 3 bristlenoses. They are all in my 8 foot tank and have just started breeding.
Hey well just thought i would let you all know that since i asked my question about my lombardi i have since had three lots of lombardi babies and two lots of jewel babies and i'm still working on everything else lol. i'll get there in the end.
