Dang those plants fooled me! Your tank is very nice. I hate the cycling part too. If you keep it at a natural cycle without fish or chemicals, and just adding fish food then i think you'll do well. Patience is a virtue.

Unless i start adding chemicals to bring the KH and pH down but i dont really want to get into that to be honest, im scared it will damage the fish in the long run?

It is best to keep fish that tolerate the water in your area. Chemicals used in lowering PH and such I have read can be a nightmare to use as the water parameters become very hard to stay stable which in turn can harm the fish.

PH at 8 isn't that bad. You should have a decent selection available that like that range. I have asked my LFS to order for me what I want if they don't have it. It works out well because I'm close enough to go pick the order up when it arrives and my new fish never have to go into the fish store tanks.

Well i may not need to add fish food lol. When filling the tank there was a small nest of bugs inside the tree trunk you see in the tank, the poor things drawned and got sucked up through the filter

Yes, the front sheet of glass is rounded. The tank is made from just two sheets or glass, it was a very cheap buy on Ebay, got it for just 215

Nice buy anyway, I really like the driftwood in the pictures and the cloudiness will go away soon if it hasn't already

Nice choice on the plants as well... colors are pretty!

That looks great...I love bow-front tanks, they look so much nicer compared to the normal rectangle tanks I think.
