Where does your Black Ghost Knife hide during the day light as they are nocturnal? I understand that they will wither away due to stress if they can't find shelter.

Nice looking tank... The Yellow Labs and the Angel fish are together??? That's a recipe for disaster. Really, Africans should only be kept with other Africans, as they are very aggressive fish.

You are right, must have lots of hideout for them and the tank was make special great height to allow them to swim upright and backward. Usually they hide in driftwood and mini clay pot during the day.

When I bought the 2 different species, they were juvenile and was kept together in the tank. The Yellow Labs are very active and needs some rocks cave to have their territories, less aggressive. Instead the 2 Koi Angel fishes are aggressive to each other, both can't get along because they are male.

It doesnt matter if these species have "grown up" together...it's the nature of the African cichlids to be aggressive, and that is to be accepted. The male Angels are also going to be trouble...
