Question colour spectacular

Hi
I'm a professional artist and even though I adore the shapes of Angelfish & Gouramis , I think I need to start with something easier? I saw some shoaling fish , neons & cardinals and was blown away. I used to keep spectacular goldfish years ago but this will be my first at Freshwater Tropicals. What mix of fish would you recommend for colour , shape and movement for a rena 75 gallon tank?
Thanks
Smilo

Gourami's are very hardy in general. There have been some problems with the dwarf varieties. Trichogaster trichopterus comes in many colour variants and in a 75G if you provide plenty of plants, driftwood and other things that can become territories I believe you will avoid aggression issues. Other good hardy ones for a tank that size are the Thick Lipped Gouramis and Pearl Gouramis.

Tetras are spectacular and come in so many lovely forms. Faster swimming ones - rummynoses and congos will be fine with gouramis. I've had no trouble with a school of glowlight tetras and my gold gourami.

Loaches and cories are also striking schooling fish and there are many varieties of each. My favourite are Dwarf Chain Loaches and Yoyo's.
