Thanks Alan. Duckweed might be to much for me to handle growth wise. You made me realize it will probably clog my syphon. I use biorbs to suck out the water. It's clogs easy.

Nerita snails, Amano & Cherry shrimp have worked wonders in my 20g and 2.5g tanks. The Nerita (5 in 20g) have ate almost all the beard black algae + other algae in one week off the tank walls and all decor. The Amanos & Cherrys have cleaned off the hair algae on the anacharis plants beautifully. The shrimp are cleaning my plants in the 2.5g QT tank. The shrimp will be added to the 20g this coming week. I need more amanos. They do not breed easy. The amano shrimp are supposed to be the best algae eaters for plants. I have had to pull the BBA off the java moss in the 20g because the snails can't get to it easy enough. I need to do an update on my topic on algae.

Hopefully the move will be good for the plants. They look like they are doing rather well in the tank in the picture. Good luck.

I know you use Co2 and I don't, but do your tanks get any natural sunlight, or are they strictly lit by ambient light and your tank lighting?

I like what you have done in the pictures here with your plants in the tanks and I look forward to seeing pictures of your new arrangement.

thanks for the compliment

it recieves daylight
the tank doesn't recieve any direct sun
i've never heard anything good from direct sunlight
even though we are trying to reproduce some extreme light
and manipulate the plants into recieving sunlight, so to speak
i can only imagine if i had a pond for only plants
the colors and growth would be off the roof
dano
i was thinking the same thing
im sure some plants wont do so well
