Does anyone know if these fish are dyed...They came in , yesterday, and I'm considering getting some. From what I read, they are not dyed or altered...I just want to make sure..........

Look up Celestial Pearl Danios and see if they are the same fish. I've seen these under different names. ( a very striking fish fairly new to the trade)

The Purple Passions are for real natural colored fish!! Look up Danio Rosius. They are really pretty and apperar not to be expensive. Dumb me figured that purple passion was another name for the Celestial Danio. ( a beautiful expensive fish)............... I'd offer one, but I have run out of humble apologies.( been giving out a lot of them lately)

I've identified them, after looking at Danio Roseus, as exactly that. I think I'll pass on them, as a lot have died since the shipment arrived on Thursday. I did read that they are very sensitive.........

Actually I was watching animal planet last night and they were showing things about how you mix genes of other fishes with other fishes. I am nnot sure if they are dyed,but their genes might be en-hanced.

no they are cought wild. but there rivers are being recked because of this. I bileve that now they are protected. SO now instead of 15 dollars they will be 23. because they have to come from breeders. I soooo badly wanted to get some for under 10 but not going to happen. sharon get them if you can and get a couple if you can breed them you will be racking in the money. they are also realy nice fish to watch.

....if I recall correctly, these fish weren't very expensive....maybe around $2.00......

I think he is refering to the Celestial Pearl Danios, maybe..........
