They should be fine..C.barbs can be nippy but moreso towards their own kind.

I have had cherries & corys together without a problem..the cherries would go up to the cories occassionally out of curiosity that's all.

No problemo with that mix. Barbs tend to be more agressive than normal, but not THAT agressive. Have at least 3-5 Cherry barbs and they will enjoy the tank even better. The TigerBarbs are the problematic ones...

Thanks guys! I checked those two on the compatibility chart and it said they are not compatible, so just thought I would check here. I know it is a conservative chart I need a few more fish to put in my 29 gallon and am looking for ideas.

Yeah, they'll be fine, cherries are on the less agressive end of the barbs and as lemuel pointed out, it's the tiger barbs that can be really nasty, so stay away from them. It'll be a nice, active tank
