with the python, how do you treat / dechlor the water? I have used buckets and treated each bucket individually.

I'm wondering if it would make my water change days a little easier.

I highly recommend it! No buckets to carry and lift! If I didn't have the python, I'd have to give up fishkeeping due to neck injury, and arthritis. I add the dechlorinator as I begin to refill the tanks. I use a mixture of hot and cold to achieve the same temp as the tank I'm filling. It's really the answer when you have multiple largish tanks.......Your 75 gal. is going to require that you lift 16 gal. of water per change...

I'd be worried that the water would change temperature and fry my fish. It isn't always even here as this is a large flat with numerous apartments. We're getting a house in the next couple years so maybe then...

There is no question that is stupid! The python is a syphon system that hooks directly to the tap. You open a valve to drain water from the tank, and close the valve to fill. No buckets, no mess...unless something comes apart, which has happened. I love it, as I can't lift buckets of water... I do all of my tanks in 3-4 hours..........
