Default Should I?

I need to find a small algae eater. That can go in a tank with the fish in my 29 gallon. Because I moved my pleco to the 55 gallon so he can grow bigger. & now i find i have to clean the tank/filter more then usual. I Assume it's because i took out the pleco. Would ottos be alright? I kno its overstocked already...so I don't think its a good idea.

thanks,
Anthony.

Removing an algae eating fish or any other kind of fish wouldn't cause you to have to clean the filter more or less frequently. Check to see what else you may have done to add an extra load on the filtration.

I think over-feeding is the cause then. Or maybe because I put my white cloud mountain minnows in the tank? They were in the 10 gallon before. Or maybe because my fantail is bigger.

Actually, I think removing the pleco would decrease your waste....Plecos are poop machines, or at least mine is... I'm not sure how the Otos would do in a coldwater tank?
