Default More Botia Striata (Zebra Loaches)

I stopped in a LFS this AM to buy a new bulb for one of my hoods and did a little window shopping. I bought 3 Zebra Loaches to go with the little orphan I have and a male Krib to replace the one I lost. They had some magnificent Gold Kribs, but they were all female so I didn't get any.

Here are some pics soon after I let them in the tank.

The loaches look lovely! I want some!!! I still miss my Clowns. Dan, are you sure the Krib is male. It may be just the picture, but the tail doesn't look right.

If you two need someone to store your tanks and fish long term let me know.... I'll try not to screw them up.

Both of you have very nice tanks, the pictures I have seen of them.

Nice new Zebra loaches Dano

The krib is male (look at the pointed dorsal fin and the slender body shape)

I've never heard of gold kribs before, I'll google it and see what comes up.

i bought six and tried to breed them ,only one lived
all the albinos were female i wanted to try both sexes albino to get a high ratio
but it happened with a reg and albino and out of 40 fry 3 were blond and didnt survive 2 weeks
she never bred again
i still have her,but she seems off like blind or one of her senses is gone

I can't see the dorsal fin...it must be my "older" eyes.

I didn't mean to start a new thread on Kribensis with in my thread on Loaches. I don't know how to move individual posts so I am going to ask that we take any further discussion about Krebinsis to the Cichlid forum.

Sorry and thank you.
