A Kuhli for you
here is a shot of Two of my Kuhli loaches; one shot each of my two ten gallon tanks. I have seven regular Kuhlis and one Java Kuhli (spread between my two ten gallon tanks). The snail shell in the first shot is almost as big as a golf ball.

Re: A Kuhli for you
Wow, how big do they get? They look cool and slinky? hehe... not sure if I could own one because they remind me of snakes . Nice to look at but I doubt I could put my hand in the tank to clean.

they get three to four inches long and 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch tall, they are oval almost flat. They will lay on their sides at times and cause me worry, but it is natural for them to do this, they also will lay quite still at times upright. I have one that gets into a spot inside a tank decoration and hangs upside down.
They are very shy, and usually come out in the early morning or around dusk.

Re: A Kuhli for you
I like all Loaches and Botia. Several Kuhli in a tank are a riot. Too bad they are mostly nochturnal.
