Default Medium Tanks (25-50 Gallons)

My second tank is a 29 galon, sometimes called the 30 galon tall. I actually have changed the setup now to a greener look. I mixed half green, half white gravel. Again did the streaks of bigger riverlike rocks (here it looks better because of the color contrast). All plastic plants, for the moment. On both actually I have a plastic deco, like a deck to make somewhat of two levels in one corner.

Default Tall 47 gallon tank

I needed a tank with a smaller footprint. My tank is a 20" x 20" x 30"-ish.

I went for tall plastic plants then filled the foreground with smaller silk plants. I prefer the white gravel to brighten up the tank.

I have some holed rocks for the fish to swim through and one in the gravel where I bubble air from under the rock, through its hole. (I just wish there was a nice way to hide the air tube up the rear glass wall!)

I used to have a long tank and I prefer this design as you don't have to bend over as much to enjoy the underwater sights.

Yo guys, Since I am going with the sharks (2 Balas, Rainbow, & soon a Red Tail) in my 30 gal. I was looking for some cool decorations and i place were my soon to be Red Tail will like to maybe hide. Because my rainbow already likes the 1 big hiding spot (VERY FRIENDLY). Also, i was looking for some drift wood. Well i can a cross a good hiding spot (I think)! It is a sunken ship! The last Red Tail Loved the one that i had. Resin replica of a warship (HMS Warship). Can be connected to an air pump. Measures 17 1/2 inches long by 4 1/2 inches high by 2 1/4 inches deep.
here is a pic.

Default My 90L Tank

I have only had this tank for a few months and it has under gone alot. Slowly its starting to take shape but still a bit of work left. The driftwood on the stone is temporary, just waiting for the other piece to be water logged.

The tank is an AR620
2 german rams
2 platies
2 pearl gouramis
3 red tailed sharks
1 angel
1 simese algae eater
3 clown loaches

If someone could please tell me the names of my plants that would be greatly appreciated.

Hope you like it, would love to hear your response. Little hippie girl your a champ!!

Dave

Here is how my 29 gallons looks like now. Still needs some improvement. It has Endlers, Neons (hopefully some Cardinals soon), Golden White Clouds, Colidoras and a Clown Loach. Lets see how it does!!

Default Re: Medium Tanks (25-50 Gallons)

Got some pictures of my newly set up 28 Gallon bow front aquarium. This is my first aquarium of any importance other than the goldfish when I was a kid.

I am an Architecture major at Texas A&M University so I figured something that would go in my office would need to somehow fit the theme. So I came up with the ancient roman theme.

In the front on each side is live Argentinian Sword plant and there are 2 more locations in the back that have them too. All the other plants are fake.

I started out with 3 black skirt tetras, after taking a few pictures I found they are photogenic or at least the ones I got were.

I also got 3 (Unknown exact name) Red long finned tetras. Or at least that is what the pet store said they were. These were not very photogenic at all!!!!

The red finned and black skirts get along very well... Keep to their own but mingle every now and then. I have had them in there for about 2 weeks now and I am going to get 3 more tetras either lemon or some other colorful type with a spotted or stripped plecos. After letting those adapt for 2 weeks I will get a silver dollar and after 2 weeks again I will introduce the angelfish... This was the major goal of mine.... but I know they are tricky so I saved them for last. I was also interested in including one more single fish but have no idea of what I want... any ideas???? One that would complement what I have done so far.

Also I have found I am not the only fan!

Let me know your thought and or improvements?

Default Re: New Tank Setup - 46 gal.

I fixed the problem with my pictures! Usually, I don't have a problem with size so I didn't even pay attention to it, but for some reason these picutres were a little too big. Anyway, here they are!
